What this service covers
Humber Tyre & Rescue can coordinate planned or urgent vehicle recovery and transport when a vehicle cannot continue safely, needs moving between locations or requires onward transport after a roadside problem. The booking is built around the exact vehicle, collection point, destination, access and condition rather than a generic recovery request.
When this service is useful
Typical requests include non-running cars or vans, vehicles that cannot be repaired safely at the roadside, planned transport to a garage or repairer, movement after a tyre or mechanical failure, and fleet vehicles that need controlled transfer between a depot, workshop or operating site. Availability depends on vehicle size, weight, condition, loading and safe access at both ends.
What to have ready before booking
Provide the registration, vehicle type, approximate weight or commercial class where relevant, collection and delivery addresses, whether the vehicle rolls, steers and brakes, and any access restrictions. Photographs can help when a vehicle has accident damage, low clearance, damaged wheels or an awkward loading position.
How Humber Tyre & Rescue handles the booking
The request is reviewed in Humber Assist before confirmation. Staff can verify the vehicle and locations, decide whether the work can be handled directly or requires an approved partner, agree timing and price, and keep the customer or fleet contact updated through the same job record.
Assessment, authorisation and quality control
Recovery equipment and safe loading method depend on the actual vehicle and condition. Humber Tyre & Rescue does not treat a web form as a technical recovery assessment. The attending operator or partner confirms the safe method, and any change to the planned work is authorised before additional chargeable work proceeds.
Fleet and commercial use
Fleet accounts can use recovery as part of the wider Fleet 360 workflow alongside tyres, batteries, servicing and repairs. Vehicle, cost-centre, purchase-order, authorisation and invoice history can remain attached to the same fleet record instead of being managed through disconnected messages.
Book or request help
Use the Book Service journey for planned recovery or transport. For a stranded vehicle requiring immediate roadside attention, use Emergency Help or call 07538 999772. If the vehicle is in a live lane, involved in a collision with injury or creates an immediate danger, contact the emergency services first.
