What this service covers
Brake concerns require proper inspection rather than assumptions from a message or warning light. Humber Tyre & Rescue accepts planned brake inspection and repair bookings so the vehicle details, symptoms and required assessment can be recorded before work is authorised.
When this service is useful
Customers may book after noticing noise, vibration, reduced braking confidence, a dashboard warning, reported wear during servicing or an advisory from another inspection. If braking performance is seriously affected, the vehicle should not be driven simply to reach a booking.
What to have ready before booking
Provide the registration, vehicle type, mileage, symptoms, when the issue occurs and any recent brake work. Photographs can be useful for obvious visible damage, but they cannot confirm the condition of parts that require physical inspection.
How Humber Tyre & Rescue handles the booking
The booking is reviewed and scheduled at a suitable location. The inspection establishes what work is actually required; the customer or fleet contact can then receive a quote and authorise the repair before parts are replaced.
Assessment, authorisation and quality control
Brake work is safety-critical. Technical decisions, part selection and final checks must be based on the vehicle and inspected components. Humber Tyre & Rescue does not publish invented wear limits or torque values as a substitute for verified vehicle data.
Fleet and commercial use
Fleet accounts can use the same workflow for driver-reported defects, scheduled inspection findings and repair authorisation. Purchase-order rules and spending thresholds can be applied before the repair moves forward.
Book or request help
Use Book Service for planned brake inspection or repair. If the vehicle is unsafe to drive or has broken down because of a braking issue, request roadside assistance or recovery instead of driving it to an appointment.
